Vellabox

Vellabox says, “There’s something to be said about how a lit candle can instantly change your mood and the whole feeling of a space.” That’s the simple inspiration behind this candle subscription service. The company delivers all-natural, artisan-made candles to your door every month. Just tell them your favorite types of scents, and they’ll curate the best-smelling candles for your monthly boxes. Set the ambiance with a clean burn and quality ingredients — what’s not to love!

Recently, the company launched pottery candles in snow day, red wine, and oakmoss + amber scents. Subscriptions start as low as $12 per month + free US shipping. Check them out at www.vellabox.com

Abstract Artist: Yvonne Claveloux

Primarily self-taught, Yvonne began experimenting with different mediums, including acrylic, graphite, gesso and watercolors, finding joy in combining them all in her mixed media paintings. She paints from her home studios in Westport, Connecticut, and Miami, and sells and exhibits her work in several interior design stores and galleries in Connecticut, New York, Florida, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Her many travels, Cuban roots, and colorful winters in Miami inspire her creations. And just this year, she launched towels, stationery, and a fitness line. Purchase her artwork, prints, and products from her website: www.yclavelouxart.com

Kasih Co-op

Kasih Co-op is a California-based home and lifestyle brand created by women, for women — providing opportunities to a variety of underrepresented artisans and women in Indonesia. Just recently, the company released new additions to its pillow line.

Bold and beautiful with an emphasis on craftsmanship and culture, each pillow cover is handmade and carefully curated through a variety of natural dying and design processes. From rich jewel tones to eccentric patterns, this collection boasts a variety of details that can add a touch of whimsy and comfort to any space, while also supporting the artisans that make them.

Founder, Ivana Darmawan, works closely (yet far apart) from her home in California with her own mother who is still in Indonesia, supporting her community and providing beautiful opportunities in the creative realm.

The Elephant Project

These stuffed elephants, Kiki and Tembo, are adorable gifts and teach children how to be the voice for the voiceless.

After Kristina McKean saw elephants being abused in Thailand, she decided to use her background in product development and design to create a product that would help raise funds for elephants and create awareness for children of any age.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds goes to wildlife rescue organizations. Each elephant doll comes with a little poem, information about the plight of the elephants, and the company’s mission. For more information, visit www.elephantproject.com
